Calibration is performed in the Saris Utility app (iOS/Android).
Note: Saris Utility is the only app that can successfully calibrate Saris smart trainers. Other training apps often provide calibration protocols, but Saris Utility is the only option for consistent and effective calibration.
Note: the trainer will retain the most recent calibration attempt, regardless of whether it's successful or unsuccessful. The calibration should be performed in the Saris Utility app, after which the desired training app initiated and the trainer paired to it for the workout or virtual route. There is no need to calibrate in the respective workout app's calibration function and it will likely not work as intended, thus overwriting the proper calibration that had been performed in the Saris Utility app with a bad value, yielding inconsistent operation.
If you haven't already, download the app from your respective app store - once installed, select Scan for Sensors from the main screen. This will initiate a Bluetooth scan (make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the device), and the respective trainer should show up on the list of Sensors. A message saying "Connecting to [trainer name]" will appear, followed by "Connected" if the connection is successful.
Once the trainer is successfully connected, select Calibrate at the bottom of the screen, and tap the Begin Calibration button. Follow the on-screen prompts as it walks you through reaching and maintaining the desired speed before coasting down for a Calibration Succeeded message.
