When it comes to cycling computers that can control the Hammer or Magnus resistance, to be fully functional these smart trainers require one that is ANT+ FE-C. FE-C stands for “fitness equipment-control”. There are many cycling computers out there that are compatible with our smart trainers, such as the Garmin 520, 820, and 1030.
If you are unsure if your cycling computer is ANT+ FE-C, you can check with the computer’s manufacturer or visit thisisant.com. On the “This Is Ant” website you can search for displays that are “fitness equipment-control” compatible to get an up to date list of what is compatible.
If you do not want a head unit that can control the resistance of the Hammer and Magnus, and instead only records data generated by the trainers (speed, cadence, power), you will need a cycling computer that supports ANT+ power/speed/cadence. Most cycling computers support this, yet we recommend confirming with the computer manufacture or visit thisisant.com.
Of course, if you still have questions, please reach out to our support team and we would be happy to help you out.
